FAQ

What is glove restoration?

Glove restoration services include repairing and revitalizing old baseball and softball gloves, making them look and feel like new and most importantly, extend their use. Reconditioning and relacing is the focus of my work. If you have torn or damaged leather, I can help get that fixed, too.

How does color lacing work?

What types of gloves can be repaired?

I use high-quality leather conditioners and durable laces found on most glove restorers benches. All products I use are made specifically for the baseball and softball glove revitalization.

A standard service to clean/recondition/full relace process depends on the extent of repairs needed and current workload. Generally, a full standard service(clean/recondition/full relace) can take anywhere from two to four days. Relacing can take from 2 days up to 10 days, depending if I have the color you want in stock.

Relacing services for baseball and softball gloves, using many different colors that are available, can really make your glove really POP! Some players change lace colors to match team or school colors. Some add color of their favorite team. Some players change their lace color every year just for fun!

I work with leather. If your glove has other than leather surfaces, I don't work on those types of gloves.
Please contact me for inquiries about specific glove types and their eligibility for repair.

What does it cost?

Each glove is different in its condition and need - kind of like when you take your car into get fixed! With that in mind, I need make a visual assessment of your glove, and based on what services you request, before I can quote a price.
In general, costs range in these service areas:
> A standard clean/condition/full relace for an adult-sized glove that is in fair condition starts at $65.
> Catcher's and First Baseman's gloves take more materials and time. These start at $75.

What about Youth gloves?

There usually isn't much to repair with t-ball gloves and gloves of that age group because they don't get used nearly as hard of that of older players. Occasionally, finger laces break or other minor issues come. Most are fixed easily. A change of lace color is a common request. Costs for such services are much less than adult-sized gloves.
